Discussion and Sharing
September 9, 2010 - Thursday, 7:00 PM

The Door County Chapter of The Compassionate Friends meets regularly on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00pm.  Participants gather on the lower floor of the Door County Memorial Hospital, Conference Room #3.  Once you enter the hospital, posted signs should guide you to our location.  Another bereaved parent will welcome you and give you a nametag.   You can browse our video and book library, which is filled with wonderful resources about grief of all types. The facilitator will open the meeting with the reading of the Compassionate Friends Credo and then encourage all to introduce themselves, saying as much, or little, about the child(ren) we have lost.  A program will follow which may feature a video, a guest speaker, or simply discussion.  We take a break for refreshments at 8:00pm and then regroup for more personal sharing.  What is so comforting about our meetings is the fact that everyone there has experienced a similar loss.  And hopefully, you will discover that “you need not walk alone…..We are the Compassionate Friends.”
